Why Create a Mockup?

Whether you’re an aspiring or established writer, you should always remember to showcase your work and promote it. Post mockups of a book you’re working on and show your readers! If you’re choosing between several different covers, a nice way to get opinions from your audience is to create mockups.

Creating a Book Mockup in Seconds

We’ve created a very simple free Canva template that you can use. To begin, make sure you have a Canva account. If you don't have one, you can easily create a free account at www.canva.com.

Next, click the link below to get a copy of the free Canva template. The template will be copied into your Canva account. All you need to do is drag and drop your cover to the frame on the template and… that’s it!

Feel free to play around with it as well — change the background, add text, etc. You can even remove all the elements (except for the mockup) and save it with a transparent background.
